Ardmore Institute of Health (AIH) is delighted to support the City of Ardmore and Ardmore Pickleball Club in promoting healthier lifestyles through the sport of pickleball.
“Pickleball is the largest growing sport in Oklahoma and certainly here in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Pickleball is an intergenerational sport that can be played by the young and young at heart. Although this sport is not a new sport, it is a fast-growing sport that attracts everyone. It allows for physical fitness to be obtained while having fun with friends.”
- Teresa Ervin, Director of Parks and Recreation at the City of Ardmore
For many people, pickleball is an accessible avenue for physical activity, stress management, and social connection, which are key components of whole health. In 2019 and 2020, AIH helped fund the construction of the Regional Park Pickleball Complex. In 2023, AIH helped fund phase 2 of construction, introducing 6 new courts (12 total), restroom facilities, lighting, and more.
