Ardmore Institute of Health Supports “Food Is My Medicine” Program in Dayton

“Food Is My Medicine” is a four-week, video-based program developed by Dr. Rachelle Dulan Hood. The program was first offered to 50 participants in 2021, and with grant support from Ardmore Institute of Health (AIH), the program expanded to 100 participants in 2024.

Participants received access to weekly YouTube videos, free weekly groceries at Gem City Market in Dayton, and free cookware. In 2024, new features were introduced, including home exercise instructional videos, phone support for participants, and free prepared meals from Miami Valley Meals.

Following the program's first round, 89% of participants saw an improvement in their health, and 100% said the program benefitted them.
